Cameron Jones planned his fishing vacation well in advance to assure that he and his big buddies would find a boat that could accommodate their 1,000+ pounds. Phil was expecting a quartet of Sumo Wrestlers but in fact Cameron, Ross, Bob and George were just very tall and well proportioned.

They chose our old favorite, the LILIANA for their first day to El Banco. Captain Ricardo was very happy to have a charter to El Banco, we have put lots of our Kids Fishing trips on this boat since her return to the business and he was feeling that bay charters were his destiny. Not in this case. The LILIANA left Los Peines at 4:00 am for a 12 hour day with Cameron and the boys.

The Big Guys landed 2 enormous Dorado at El Banco. This fish (right) is very impressive, especially because it is being shown by 6'5" Cameron. It is on it's way to that mysterious 'Mounting Place' where time seems to have no meaning. Miguel Jr, the son of Captain Miguel of the SOL is on the left and Captain Ricardo (who complains that we never have photos of him) is in the center. This was a fantastic day and both anglers and crew had an amazing time.

The next 2 days were spent on the STRIKE ONE with Captain Hector and 12 hours was the order as well. Owner, Bill Peterson loved this group, they were all Bill-sized and enjoyed the STRIKE ONE as much as Bill does. It is rumored that the Corona Beer Company is suffering a serious shortage in inventory after the 21st of May. Cameron and the guys originally wanted Coors Beer but decided that Corona would do just fine, although it took a whole lot more to quench their thirst. Corona thanks you, the Mexican economy thanks you and we all want you guys back soon.

The second day on the STRIKE ONE was spent at the 3:20 spot, actually at an old tire that has been anchored and covered with palm fronds to attract the Dorado. The guys hooked 10 Dorado and caught and released a Sailfish. (Well, to be truthful, it released itself but who really cares)

Everyone agrees that this group was the Highlight of the month of May.
